Schedule Notifications

The web console provides the user the ability to schedule when notifications may be delivered. This is useful for after-hours periods, when devices are tested, vacation times, etc.

Notification deliveries can be scheduled to occur only during user-specified periods that can be set to exclude specific days of the week and hours of the day. These exclusions can apply to all devices or individual devices of a given organization.

 

Schedule All Devices

To set a schedule for all of your devices, complete the following steps:

  1. Use the Back arrow or magnifier to navigate to the My Devices page of the web console

 

  1. From the My Devices page, check the box to the left of Device name above your list of devices. This will auto-select all of the devices in your organization

 

  1. Hover over the ellipsis and select Notification Settings

 

  1. From the notifications settings dialog you can select all event types or individual events. Click on Set schedule after selecting event types.

 

  1. The notifications schedule dialog allows users to set when notifications are delivered. By default, notifications are delivered daily, all day. Verify Enable Schedule is toggled on.

  1. Select (change to white) days of the week that you do not want to receive notifications.

  1. Set the time period when notification deliveries will be active. The default is all day. Delivery times set will apply to active (blue) days above.

 

  1. To change the hours, click on the AM time or PM time. This will open the time set dialog where hours and minutes can be selected.

 

 

  1. The timezone can be selected, or the organization timezone can be used by default.

 

 

When complete, verify the settings shown at the bottom match what you want.

 

Schedule Individual Devices

To set a schedule for individual devices, complete the following steps:

  1. Select a device from the My Devices list to open the dashboard for that device
  2. While in the dashboard view, hover on the ellipsis to the right of the device name. This will open a context menu where you can select Notification Settings

 

 

  1. From the notifications settings dialog you can select all event types or individual events. Click on Set schedule after selecting event types.
